The Technician Levi came and diagnosed our issue quickly. He took the time to answer all of the questions I had. He fixed our AC issue promptly and I did not feel as though he was just trying to sell me any unnecessary work/products. I will definitely use Dowd again should I have any further heating/air problems

We had a young man out about 2 months or so ago because our mini split was not cooling. He never came in our home, just did “ something” outdoors and charged us a $100 and left. Still didn’t cool. We called again and Terry Dowd Jr., came out and has the unit running just like it was new. He was professional, worked quickly and thoroughly. We’d be $100 to the good if they had sent Terry out the first time. Next time, we won’t settle for anyone else. We should have been discounted for the first call, but at least our unit is working properly.

Levi from Dowd heat and Air performed maintenance on my AC Units. He was very knowledgeable, great customer service. I had gotten several recommendations on this company and they definitely take care of their customer. I have a mini split which one of the parts needed a fix but no other companies want to fix it for me but only wants to sell me a new unit. DOWD heat and air came to fix for me during summer and came back to fix for me again when it became loose with no charge during this winter. I would recommend this company for anyone who needs a HVAC technician. It is hard to find a HVAC company has such good integrity this days.

Only ones to answer the phone Monday morning. All the rest put me on hold or answering machine. Showed up when they said they would. Promptly repaired the unit quickly and charged a fair price right around the national average. Friendly tech and solid work. I'll use them again, you should too!

Update- if you notice from their response. They just assumed I was ok with the amount for the repair never consulted me on it. They didn’t give me any options or inform me of what was needing to be done. After I paid they sent me a list of other things needing to be done also. So they put a bandaid on the unit rather than asking if we wanting it fixed. And now once againA/C went out and it’s going to cost more to actually fix it.Beware! They don’t tell you this before coming to your home but they don’t do quotes on home service calls. They record the calls supposedly which will support this statement. They just do the job no matter the price and then bill you for it.here’s my experienceI’m renting. Hired them to come out and check out our A/C unit so I could tell the landlord what was wrong. Told me $105 for them to come out. Tech shows up I tell him we rent and need to know what’s going on. Hour goes by and he hasn’t come back inside. I go out there and he said he’s just fishing up checking the Freon levels. Another 30 mins goes by and he comes inside and says all done. Here’s the bill $700+. I was confused because I specifically told him we rent and need to talk to the landlord unless it was a super cheap fix. He apologized and said I already did the work. Me thinking his office would help me figure it out. I paid the bill. Next morning I call the office to tell them what happened. I expressed I was confused with the technician and the misunderstanding and wanted to see if there was something we could work out. The lady snapped back at me and said “we will just come out and take whatever it did back.” I was pretty confused because I was super nice and had already paid the bill because I didn’t want the tech to not get paid. (Again the recording will reflect this) I had her on speaker phone around my son and friend and they both looked at me like what is her problem. So then I explained again that I already paid the bill and was calling to see if there was something they could work out to maybe give us a discount on its since we rent and I needed approval before any services. Once she stopped being rude and listened that I already paid the bill she got much nicer and said she would contact my landlord. Well she never called the landlord. Originally super nice on the phone, tech was very nice and did good work but didn’t listen to anything I explained to him. And then I’ve never had someone be so rude to me on the phone like the lady was. She said the calls are recorded so I hope someone will listen to it. 8/24/23 is the service date. The office never told me they “don’t do quotes on home services” before coming to my home. And the tech not once came in and said “hey here is what’s wrong and what it’s going to cost to fix it.” Wouldn’t recommend

I received a bid from Dowd to replace a "head" on a mini split that was under warranty. The part was covered, so the cost was for the installation and coolant replacement cost. Dowd had by far the best price and the technicians knew what they were doing. We now have cool air flowing! I would highly recommend Dowd Heat and air.

AC not working. Called and got appointment for the next morning. Service man arrived and quickly found the problem, a capacitor, which was covered by warranty. After installing a new capacitor, he found that all else was working well. He cleaned off the vents of the unit with my garden hose and was done. AC now works perfectly. Excellent service and very well pleased. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
